Nicely done, you make good use of colour. Some tighter control around hte gas in this piece I think would help a bit. Maybe some sharper shapes(but only a few.)

Keep all the good work up.

haha nebulae for food sounds pretty good. Nebulae for noodles. This is a very cool piece. Like ladyrapid said: a bit more detail would make it even more awesome, but i wouldnt even attempt this so you get kudos from me :D

Gettin better 'n better. This is good in a few aspects and bad in a few others =D.

I like the base here, it could use some more detail ( I know how frikkin hard it is but I'm saying it anyways haha ). Good colorflow going on as well.

I give ya :star::star::star:/5 ^^

I really appreciate your critical comments. I'm totally agree with that universe has seen a better artworks. Sometimes I feel that all I do is so primitive and boring compared to the masterpieces of the really grand artists. Just a waste of time.

Thank you anyway.

( I just wrote the longest sweet comment with lots of wise words and whatnot but instead of sending it I pressed cancel... so here is a new comment supershort form, don't wanna rewrite the old one ^^)

No artwork made is a waste of time. If it's really bad then just call it a practise piece, nothing else. To keep compare yourself with greater artists is no real use to be honest, it will only often lead to envy and selfcriticism.
Instead, try to take the good things of artists better than yourself and turn them into your inspiration, your guide toward gettin better 'n better. I really know what you're saying here, I tend to do it all the time myself. Like just the other day I worked on a celestial piece that has a quite big asteroid field, I finish it off more or less and takes a look at it with a smile on my face of beeing proud over it. Save it up and go out to watch some fellas and things on DA. Like 2 minutes later I look around celestial artwork of different artists and genre when I spot a sweet image with an asteroid-belt that made my own look like present Michael Jacksson... I mean just like a fist in the face I lost all my pride for my own creation, just like that.
Thats the kind of thoughts we shoulden't have but have anyway just of the fact that we look up for persons and artists that's greater than ourselves. Nuff said, point is that " Don't think of your work as a waste of time, never. Also keep in mind that if we keep compare our works all the time with artists that's better than uss we'll go mad, I promise. Try to take the comparison as something good instead. Like if you see an artwork you think is good then embrace it, how it's made, the way it's buildt, the concept etc etc. Take that and try make it into something good, mabye inspiration, guidance... anything really as long as it's a positive thing.

Hang in there, we can't all make awsome things all the time, there must be room for errors and flaws, after all, we are only human :lmao:

This is the SHORT version of what I first wrote ^^.

Sorry for all the comments, but I think all art is different and in your case it is masterful. I think you need to be more confident in your work, you're a great artist, one of the best on DA I'd say and you don't appear to realize that. Have some faith in yourself, your art is very powerful and 'Through The Gate' is definitely one of the best works I've seen. Anyone can improve on the execution of their work and develop their style, but your ideas are brilliant.

Don't judge the book from its cover ^^.

I know it can cause some problems sometimes hehe, I just use the simple thing, NEVER ASSUME. Works all the time :)

Wow kid, calm down yourself, I haven't even raised my voice. What are you bitchin' about really?

If you were upset or anything from my previous comment you shoulden't have, can't you see the sarcasm in "Don't judge the book from its cover ^^."?

Geez man, don't be so hasty, make sure you read the comment before posting a reply to it, this to avoid dumb and idiotic mistakes and errors.

I don't understand your little symbols and whatever i.e. I generally talk to people in person and not via a screen. Also, what is this about raising voices? The reason you haven't is because you can't over a computer, moron. I already admitted and apologised that due to your name I assumed you were a female. Happy? I'm apologising again. Oh, and by the way, quit this kid bullshit, according to my profile, which you obviously didn't taken the time to read I'm immortal.

Just brushing work. Can't describe in detail - it is rather unconsciously. But it is not hard at all: all you need is just to start.
